Keep Bees Abuzz
With your generous support
Bee Regenerative will:
1) Expand our “Bison and Bee Habitat” project to American Prairie on Montana’s Northern Great Plains. AP is a fellow conservation non-profit that aims to restore native prairie ecosystems and the wildlife that depend on them.
2) Grow our "Coexistence in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem" project by adding additional study areas and youth education programing.
3) Build organizational capacity to dedicate more boots-on-the-ground staff and volunteer time for our “Bee Friendly Vineyards” project in Southern Oregon and Northern California — increasing the acreage of flowering plants and decreasing pesticides, mowing, and tillage in vineyards to create healthy nesting spaces and safe and nutritious food resources for bees.
4) Continue sending our field-collected bees to our taxonomist to curate our bee lists and collections for each project. All bee data is uploaded to the Bee Library, a collaborative global online repository of bee images, traits, and specimen data that is collected to understand bee evolution, ecology, conservation needs, and more.
5) Add hundreds more flower observations to our iNaturalist projects pages where we are contributing to a global database of biodiversity information for scientific research and conservation
6) Launch our “Beetreats for Women in Agriculture” experiential offering that will bring women together in a safe space to build community and confidence, connect to self, and gain knowledge on the importance of bees.

2025 Recap
As we close out 2025, we have so much to be grateful for and even more to look forward to. Committed to our mission to inspire and advance bee conservation on agricultural landscapes, we spent the year:
• Teaching kids and communities about the importance of bees to our food system through art, writing, tabling, presentations, and workshops,
• Monitoring bees and their habitat (flowers, water, and nesting sites) on working lands,
• Collaborating with farmers and ranchers to help them recognize the vital role of specific bee species on their acreage,
• Developing and implementing bee conservation strategies on ranches and vineyards across the west.
During the summer field season founder and co-director, Sarah Red-Laird, drove 11,590 miles in the mo-bee-le bee lab to 8 agricultural properties (3 vineyards, 3 cattle ranches, 2 bison ranches) in 4 states (MT, SD, OR, & CA) to monitor 22 study areas containing 88 transects where over 3,500 flowers and thousands of bees were counted and dozens of conversations were had. She taught 3 day-long workshops in collaboration with our partner ranchers and nonprofit orgs. We hosted 5 open studio events for "Bee Habitat in Cyanotype" and displayed the artwork in 3 public spaces. We tabled at both local, Southern Oregon food co-ops to educate consumers on the importance of bees to our food system. We planted and maintained perennial flowers and annual bee pasture at 2 vineyards. We cared for 8 hives and harvested 30 cases of honey which we sold at 5 local boutiques and farm stores. We reached between 65k and 72k people per month on social media - inspiring each one of them to understand, appreciate, and value our bees.
As we approach year’s end, we invite you to make a meaningful gift to help support our future work. Together — with your support — we will continue to foster partnerships and curiosity about bees as we work to create and protect agricultural landscapes that hum with biodiversity, abundance, and resilience.
